Insanely Profound Quotes Part 1

Before I get into talking about quotes, I want to take this opportunity to do some housekeeping really quickly.

When I officially started this blog, my intention was to upload 1-2 posts on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays every week. As I have had a week off from my university classes over Easter, this has been quite successful and thank-you to everyone who has read at least one of them 😃

But I’ve realised that when the university grind starts again, this may become slightly unrealistic. So I have decided that after today, I’m going to try and upload every Wednesday with the occasional Monday or Friday thrown if I get time or something extra awesome happens.

This is the plan for now, but the best place to find out about blog updates and other me-related things is through my Instagram account (@miss_memphis98).

Now with that out of the way, let’s get on with today’s post:

For today’s upload, I wanted to take y’all on a bit of a journey.

Those of you who know me personally or follow my Instagram feed will understand that I have a MAJOR obsession with quotes. Like on a scale of 1 to 10, 2564 – it’s that strong.

Whether they are funny, inspirational, empowering or heartbreaking; I love how relatable they are to every kind of situation. They perfectly describe moments or thoughts that we have trouble putting into words ourselves and allow us to reveal things about our world and our experiences that would otherwise be left unsaid.

About two years ago now, one of my best friends sent me a whole bunch of amazing quotes that she had found on Facebook and other Internet places. Long story short, I saved them on my computer and then preceded to completely forget about their existence.

When I was doing a bit of spring cleaning (in autumn…) to my hard drive’s picture collection, I got the best surprise ever when I found this wonderful folder again.

Scrolling through them, there were a bunch of absolute crackers that I just couldn’t keep to myself. I had to share their wisdom with the rest of the world.

So I chose 10 of my favourites, did some filtering and editing to make them a little bit more artsy and mysterious (i.e. my aesthetic) and decided to share them on my blog! It’s a little bit different to what I have posted on here previously, but I am all about trying new things 😝

my thoughts on the Star Wars sequel trilogy.... 🌟🎬😐

I hope you are surviving in this weird and crazy time, and that you haven't murdered any family members yet, or put anything super embarrassing in the background of your work Zoom calls. thoughts from a drama queen in an iso box: day six

  hello world. today has not been a day full of energy. therefore i have not had a lot of motivation to do much of anything interesting or useful. i am still rocking a bit of a cough and there is gunk still present in my head, but thankfully nothing new has presented itself. in not having much oomph today, there also isn’t much of a preamble to the highlights of today. so today was monday july eleventh and whilst in iso i did/thought the following: slept in until two o’clock pm. through trying to outrun multiple different nightmares that did not make me feel well rested and not needing to be anywhere in a hurry today – for obvious reasons… - i just kept rolling over and hitting snooze. that reminded me of early lockdown days in 2020 where i wasn’t employed at the time and could sleep in until early afternoon. it feels great in the moment, but also throws the entire vibe of the day off so that could have explained my general lack of oomph… caught up with episodes of the late...
