Hello everyone, Today's movie thoughts are the first of three lists ranking the Star Wars movies. I watched all nine of them while my area was under its first lockdown and decided to suss out which ones were the best and the worst in my opinion. I've had a lot of time to think about this, and some of my thoughts aren't necessarily going to be popula r - this forty-year old cultural phenomenon has bred plenty of rabid, passionate and opinionated fans. Hello everyone, Today's film actually brings the scheduled programming for this project to a close. I had envisioned to write for the majority of the time my area was in Stage 4 lockdown, and with this I have done that - yay for me!! 👏👏👏 However, the lockdown has now been extended by another two weeks, so I've decided to extend this project too! Get excited for some more film waffle everyone 😁 In a kind of brilliant twist of coincidence, this film was actually the very first one I watched from my long list that eventually became the blueprint for this project. It was also really significant at the time because of the important conversations surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement, and this film's themes were a stark reminder of how much the unfair injustice that black people faced in the 1970's are unfortunately still issues that need to be addressed today. Hello everyone, Today's film was one I was honestly dreading watching. It had gotten a lot of buzz around the most reason awards cycle, yet on premise alone I was not interested at all. But now with the time, I finally stopped procrastinating and explored what all the fuss was about with Marriage Story . Hello everyone, Today's film concerns one of my favourite areas of literature: Shakespeare. The English wordsmith has written some of my favourite plays, including Taming of the Shrew , The Merchant of Venice , Hamlet and most relevant to this film Macbeth. Hello everyone, Today's films was an absolute gem. My brother and my dad had watched this one a while ago and I think we even own the DVD somewhere in our stacks, but I had not seen it until very recently. Hello everyone, Today's film is another one of those things that had potential and hype, but ended up being super disappointing. I loved the first Alice in Wonderland, but this one just didn't have the same oomph. Another one for the sad sequel list, Hollywood needs to figure out its shit so we can have more interesting sequels and franchises that are consistently amazing across more than just a strong first punch....
