Hello Internet, Yes, it has been a while. I never intended to take an extended break, but that is the way that life has worked out. I thought I was going to write some long, heartfelt, potentially inspiring thing about what the first half of this year has been like and consequently why my time, energy and focus has been elsewhere, away from this space. But I haven't. And I won't. Time away has reinforced to me that I don't have to write anything if I don't want. No-one is forcing me to post on here, I'm not sure anyone other than me actually cares. I do it because I want to, and it makes me happy. So I haven't got a longwinded, personal and probably boring post for to signify my comeback. Instead I have Eurovision. Hello Internet! I hope you are doing well wherever you are in the world today 🌏 First things first, Happy January everyone 💖 It's been about 3 weeks since my last post, so a lot of the first month of 2018 has already flown by. To be honest, I haven't been doing a hell of a lot with that time. After writing a lot for Reviewmas and my new year's post at the end of 2017, I wanted to have some time to re-assess some stuff in my life away from the Internet. I'm happy to say this was a good thing and I'm feeling pretty good about life right now 😀. I also wanted to get some productive things done around my house before getting back into writing. That one had mixed results, but everything's a work in progress right? 😬 But I'm super excited to get back into the swing of writing on here again. Hello Internet! I hope you are doing well wherever you are in the world today 🌏 It's a tad later than I had hoped, but I thought it was still important for me to wrap up 2017 in the world of Miss Memphis with some general feelings. It is brief, but I didn't want to bore you with stuff that was particularly heavy. It's been an intense and emotional year for me, but it was still awesome ⛅ So, in between your party, hangover or general existence, please enjoy: For a lot of people, 2017 was an incredibly average year. A lot of shit happened, but there were also some really amazing and important things too. Our world changes and evolves with every passing year humans have on Earth, and I believe 2017 was a really good representation of that. Regardless of what the world is doing, the past year for me was certainly a journey. I can safely say that the person I was heading into 2017 is not the person waving goodbye to it at midnight on  December 31 st ....

Hello there Internet! I hope you are doing well wherever you are in the world today 🌏 So, I need to apologise for how this post has manifested itself 😢😢😢😢😢 I had an initial plan for this post that wasn't music related, but it was nowhere near ready to go up when I needed it. So, I initially uploaded a super simple, unformatted post on Friday to keep up with the whole 5 reviews in 5 days thing. My intention was to go back and re-format, add more text and just generally improve it later on Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, I wasn't well on Friday afternoon and I had plans later that night so I couldn't do anything more on Friday. My Plan B was then to go back in on Saturday and update it before my family arrived for Christmas. But unfortunately I wasn't well again, and this has finally been updated late at night after my entire family has gone to bed.
